Cliff Jumping #3

If your friends jumped off a cliff would you jump too? Yes only if it was a 15-20 ft cliff with water at the bottom. Cliff jumping is a huge rush. When you first step off the scariest part is the time your in the air. Hitting the water wasn't bad at all. The cool water was so refreshing from the hot dry 110 degree weather.

I was out in Las Vegas for work with American Ninja Warrior. We had a day off. So instead of doing what all our other friends were doing of going out for drinks and gambling. Five of us [Melissa, Sam, Austin (my boyfriend), and Dave] decided to go to Nelson's landing which is off of Lake Mead. This was about an hour and a half outside of Vegas. Getting there was easy, we left around 5pm. Just make sure your not going to fast or your car will almost over heat. This is what almost happened to us. Getting there we past a couple of cool town/private property. The one closest to the park is private property make sure you don't trespass.

When we got there we ended up parking in the further lot. If you go, make sure you make another right to get to the closer lot for the more popular cliffs. We parked and started to hike towards the cliffs. We went around to the more popular cliff to start our jumping. It was so scary. But I am glad I pushed my self to do it.  If Dave hadn't gone with us we probably wouldn't have stayed as long as we did. Dave was the dare devil and tested all the cliff.

There were several rock holds for us to climb back up to the top. You have to watch out when climbing back up because there were a lot of spider webs. You want to make sure that you don't get bit by something. We ventured to several other cliffs through out Nelson's landing. We also did a lot of swimming. The best part was when we were leaving the amazing sunset we caught. This provided many amazing photos.

If you decide you want to go cliff jumping make sure you bring shoes you want to keep on. If you don't you can really mess up your feet.  This was the best experience ever. The only thing I regret from going is not taking out food and some drinks to have a cook out. If you do plan on going out, you should defiantly take stuff to have a cookout.  Number 3 is now check off the bucket list! Can't wait to go cliff jumping again.
